About ProphyNotes

What we're building

Dentists and hygienists spend a large part of every day documenting visits: SOAP notes, perio charts, treatment records. Much of it is written mid-appointment or after hours. ProphyNotes exists to give that time back, with tools built only for clinical documentation rather than another all-in-one practice platform.

There are two parts:

• Free note templates, available today. Click-to-fill templates for hygiene recalls, periodontal maintenance, SRP, SOAP notes, exams, restorative, surgery, and consent. You fill in the note, edit any wording, and copy it into your practice management system. No account, and nothing you type is uploaded.
• An AI clinical scribe, in development. It will listen to the visit and draft the note, and let you call out perio readings by voice while you probe. It's designed to work alongside any practice management system, with no integration needed. Join the waitlist to hear when invitations open.

Built for hygienists as much as dentists

Hygienists write a large share of a practice's daily notes: recalls, perio maintenance, SRP, pediatric visits. Most documentation software treats them as an afterthought. We start with hygiene workflows and build out from there.

How we decide what to build

New templates and changes come from the people using them. Every template has a Report issue button, and we read every message sent through our contact page. If a template is missing wording you use every day, or a field doesn't match how your office charts, tell us.

• Your notes stay with you. The free templates run entirely in your browser. See our privacy policy.
• Clinicians stay in charge. Every note is yours to review and edit before it goes in the chart.
• Works with what you have. Plain-text output pastes into any practice management system.
